User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsThere are a few hotels on Banyan Drive, This one is clean, and the furnishings and linen are somewhat better/newer than those found at the Naniloa Hotel, next door to this one. The staff were ok here. I'd say this hotel is the best choice on Banyan Drive. If you don't know Hilo and you're looking for something special, check out Shipman House B&B in Hilo. I haven't stayed there, but it looks wonderful.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsNice View for a Good Price: This was our last stop in Hawaii. This hotel is very close to the Hilo airport. It is next to the water on the bay. We had an ocean view that was beautiful. We saw a rainbow out our window in the morning. The room was standard size with two queen beds. It was clean and we were all comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs. The buffet was good but the meat was a bit over done and the prime rib was a bit under done. But drinks were included which included beer and wine. The pool closed at 7pm which was a disappointment. I would like to stay here again when I have more time.
