This is a great bar. Total local bar that is basically a tiki hut with drunk people in it. The owner is usually serving up the drinks and enjoying the night right along with everyone. If you get a chance to go when there is live music, you are in for a treat.
The best drink ever......: It's been a few years...but it was with good friends and the drink was called "the good, the bad, and the ugly"! First of all, start with polynesian kitzch and a bartender that aims to please, mix in good conversation, good friends and a good measure of rum and you have a recipe for a great afternoon.
The drink starts with three kinds of rum and a 1/3 mixer of your choice (the good), it moves on to three kinds of rum and a splash (the bad) and graduates to just three kinds of rum (the ugly). Needless to say, there was lots of fun that day. The rum as I recall was light, medium and dark...you pick the brand since I can't remember that.
If we had food, it was good because it was inhaled as soon as it came. I have pictures of this event and we didn't end up on the floor! It made for a memorable trip to Kauai and I would certainly recommend the place to anyone with a spirit of adventure.
Oh yeah...one last thing....there was great picture of an island girl over the bar.......
