DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!
We bought an 2008 Eddie Bauer Explorer and it broke down two days later. After several attempts to fix the car the dealership admitted that the car was unfixable and cancelled our contract. They offered to refund our money--since the car was a "lemon." That sounds like it should have been an easy thing to do, but NO. They took nearly a month and we had to threaten to get our lawyers involved before anything got accomplished. THEN, after we finally got our money back, the dealership actually RELISTED the car that they had deemed "unfixable." It is on their website and on auto trader. HOW DISHONEST!!!!!
Please do yourself a favor and don't even think about purchasing a car from Cutter Ford. My husband and I have had many problems with them over the last couple of months. Problem 1: We had to go in a sign and re-sign the paperwork over 4 times because the finance department couldn't seem to do there job correctly. The finance person we worked with named Roger was extremly rude and he tried to make us feel like we were idiots. We wasted our gas and time to drive down to Cutter Ford in Aiea from Waipahu serveral times beore it FINALLY got resolved. Problem 2: They called my husband and I at our work more than 5 times a day. Harassing us about comming to to sign the paper work that THEY messed up on! They also came into my place of work while I was assisting customers so I could sign the paper work for a "final time". Problem 3: When we put money down on the car we assumed that it was going to be taken care of BUT after about a month they decided they needed to take out our down payment AGAIN from our bank. They never called or tried to get in touch with us to make sure we had paid it already. They told us it was a miscommuncation and all we got was a "sorry". Probelm 4: We bought our car only 3 months ago and its already broken down. So for 3 months of payments weve only gotten to drive it for 2. There was no mention of any warranty until AFTER we got the car...they asked if we had it but then remember they "FORGOT" to tell us about it at the time of purchase. Problem 5: We called to get the car fixed and they told us it would cost us 500.00, we had another mechanic quote it also and they are only going to charge 150.00 for something that Cutter is trying to charge us 500.00 for.
So please do youself and your sanity a favor and go elsewhere to purchase your vehicle. Trust me it won't be worth the trouble unless they give you the car for FREE!!!!!!!
