| About: | This is a popular stop-off on the way to touristy Waimea Canyon and other top destinations. The friendly, small-town cafe opens at dawn and serves hearty, tasty breakfasts and lunches. Some menu items include bagels, breakfast burritos, omelets, sandwiches, salads, espresso drinks and ice cream shakes. This is a laid-back place to grab a bite. It is also a retailer, a hangout spot and, somewhat surprisingly, a meeting place for local techies. The Internet Users Group of Kalaheo meets here monthly. Open Monday to Sunday from 6.30a to 2.30 pm, and from Wednesday to Saturday from 5.30p onwards. |

great stop for breakfast, coffee before heading out for the day
Our group stopped here for breakfast a few times and approved. They offer a variety of foods from full-boned breakfasts to delectable pastries - something for every taste. The coffee is excellent, cafe fries done right, and the veggie omelet has a greater variey of veggies than I've ever seen. In an oafish moment I managed to spill my coffee completely, and the staff was on it in a flash in a very helpful and friendly fashion. I appreciated that. The only niggling complaint is that it's a tad noisy when full, but that could be remedied by sitting outdoors on the lanai. This is a great breakfast/lunch stop.
Loved this restaurant last time was on Kauai. Recommended by locals. They make a mean turkey burger & fries. Great soups. Excellent sandwiches. Breakfast menu looked great, but we didn't get a chance to try it. The appetizer platter was great. Service and staff were excellent. I got a dish that I just didn't like and they happily took it off the bill without me asking. Go. Eat. Enjoy.
