| About: | Bored with breakfast? Try something different: teriyaki fish, miso soup, egg and rice. It sounds bizarre if you have never tried it, but it can be surprisingly satisfying in the morning. At noon, standard plate lunches are a favorite, but a selection of home-cooked American favorites is also available. Hearty dinner entrees include meat loaf, roast beef and stuffed mahi mahi. This simple and informal restaurant has been around for more than 60 years. During that time, it has managed to accumulate a devoted clientele. |

Excellent choice of local and cosmopolitan food.....well prepared and tasty. Great and
friendly service with a comfortable family like atmosphere.
Great family restaurant! Excellent selection of local food, fresh fish, Japanese food, and good salads, all at very reasonable prices. Everyone in our party of eight found something they wanted on the menu. Not in a touristy area, but the smart tourists find their way here!
p.s. They now take credit cards.
Fantastic surprise and great for kids!: A local recommended this restaurant and I am profoundly grateful. None of the name, the location, or the decor will prepare you for the amazing flavor and presentation of the food. My wife loved the macadamia-crusted mahi mahi on rice, which was a notch better than at fancier, higher-priced tourist restaurants on the island. My seared black pepper ahi came with a salad dressed with balsamic vinaigrette and both were terrific. The expansive kids menu goes way beyond mac&cheese, offering teriyaki chicken and the best spaghetti with meat sauce my son ever had. They have fresh baked bread and a fine selection of cream pies. I can't wait to go again! I just hope I can find it again, hidden as it is on a narrow alley behind a looming Salvation Army warehouse.
