worst food we had on the island so far. We ate there on May 09. We didnt care about the amateurish setting and staff, thinking the food would be better than resort traps. After eating over there I wished we would have got Burger King. My steak was chewie and sans flavors, the mushroom right out of a can. the "Grilled" onion saggy soft in grease. the salad was basically out of a bag with kraft dressing on top. My wife had fish tacos and I m not even going to spend the time describe how bad it was. We went back to our hotel room and got room service after.
oh and you know the food sucks when the server dont even ask you if you like your meal or if everything was ok.
It's really the best place to get a non-touristy feel for Kauai's laid back, ohana-like atmosphere! You can ask the servers to get you fish food, and you can feed the fish there... Also, right down the little "shopping center," there's a very yummy ice cream shop. Be sure to stop there before heading back home!
Not the best I ever had, but a nice change from the white tablecloth spots at hotels, etc. My husbands fish&chips were pretty good, my mac nut crusted Ono left a little something to be desired and way too much garlic in the mashed potatoes.
