I've eaten a privately catered dinner here before and everything was delicious (though a bit slow). I was expecting a similar experience the next time around. I was led into a small overcrowded room and couldn't believe it. I had to sit right next to the person I was with just to hear him. One thing I generally rate restaurants on is timeliness. It took: 15 minutes to get our drinks, another 15 minutes before we ordered and another 30 minutes (this was expected) to receive our food. It was my party's birthday and the waiter had know this but forgotten. When reminded we got a dessert of our choice within a timely manner. We entered the restaurant at 6:30 and left at almost 9:30. I'm a big fan of enjoying a meal and taking my time but this was ridiculous.
If you go here I suggest you keep this in mind:
-the side portions are small (no matter what the waiter/waitress says)
-come with good company because you'll be there for a while
-if you're thirsty be ready to stay that way, I was never asked if I wanted a refill (although the water guy was awesome!)
-be ready to order something they're out of (this happened twice!)
-expect decent steak but nothing else
This is really a place for STEAKS!
Never been disappointed.
VERY PRICEY!!! But worth evrery cent.
Enjoyed it better than Morton's.
Its still just a steak joint: The steaks aren't too bad but can be tough and chewy.Other than that there's very little remarkable about this place. Everything is ala carte and everything is very expensive. I've been to the one on Maui and its no better and even more expensive (I'm a slow learner). I guess this is a splurge type of outing for most folks. I can roast a fine prime rib at my house with all the fixins for a party of six for less than one meal at Ruths Chris, Much better too.
