| About: | With two sushi bars, four master sushi chefs, countless types of nigiri sushi and at least 15 kinds of sashimi, it is no wonder that this place is regularly voted best sushi in Honolulu. In addition to sushi, there is a six-page menu of cooked and raw Japanese specialties ranging from broiled fish to Tororo. The drink menu is equally impressive, offering 11 varieties of sake. Also, the combination lunch menus are a real bargain. The entry walls are decorated with photos of visiting celebrities including Michael Jackson and Gene Hackman. The restaurant can be unpleasantly crowded at dinner while lunch is more comfortable. |

Great food always! best place to eat. all the sushi here is awesome!
Yanagi is my favorite because the seafood is always fresh and always real (no imitation crab). The portions are big and the price is reasonable. The sushi chefs are the real deal and they are friendly. I always sit at the sushi bar, but you can order off the regular menu as well. Some of the table wait staff don't seem quite ready for prime time and the Korean owners seem to lord it over them from their lofty throne behind the cash register. K-drama, but who cares? The food is awesome.
Good Sushi!! This restaurant has been around for a long time. I remember when my family would have our gatherings there. Since monving to California I can tell you I miss the freshness of Hawaiis fish. Mahalo~
