This place ripped me off in a big way. I purchased a case of their most expensive red (don't recall what it was, but it was purchased mostly for novelty value, as their grape wines are just okay), and carried the sealed box home on the plane. When I opened it up at home, I found that it was filled with their cheap, revolting pineapple wine. Pretty dishonest and unkind, I'd say. If the winery thinks that think that tourists just come once to Maui so they can get away with such trickery, they are wrong. I go to Hawaii every year. I have made sure that everyone I know hears about what Tedeschi did. Don't bother with this place! Spend your time at the beach instead.
You will never visit a winery like this anywhere else in the world. The facility is rustic yet tropical. The grounds are beautiful and blend what you might find in the Finger Lakes region of NY with the warmth and beauty of Hawaii. The staff is friendly and accomodating. The tasting room is a converted house, similar to many smaller wineries in Sonoma-Napa or Santa Barbara-Santa Ynez in CA. The wines are surprisingly decent. There is a nice variety to them and while you may expect an overabundance of overly sweetened pineapple varietals, that's not really the case. They have actual wines and take it seriously. After wine tasting, you can enjoy your wine and food in the large grass area. There is a picnic area which a number of visitors take advantage. An old stone walkway meanders from the house to the restroom and provides for nice views. Flowers and trees are abundant and offer many scenic pictures.
You can join their wine club or use them to ship wine to your home (if you live in states that permit it). I asked for DHL as they seem to do better where I live, but they use FedEx. It was a slight issue, but may be fine for others where they have decent couriers. (I chose to take the wine and pay an extra fee with United).
The road has many curves and should be taken with care. Across the road is a terrific deli / general store. They serve grilled sandwiches which can be enjoyed on the patio.
You should make time to visit as you will not be disapointed.
