Just went back after a ten year lapse and found the dim sum as tasteless as it was when the restaurant first opened. The teapot was was already on the table and the tea was just warm (as probably were the rest which were sitting already filled). The fried taro was greasy and contained very little filling and was room temperature. As for the steaming offerings they too were not hot except for the chicken feet. While I advocate the use of less salt, Legends could afford to beef up the flavors. The number of offerings is limited and ordinary-nothing more than the usual-and much less than smaller, less pricey close by dim sum restaurants. It is sad when expectations and prices are both high to be so sorely disappointed. I will not return ever again.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAsk any real chinese in Hawaii where to go for dim sum and they'll say go to Legends. Try their spare ribs and cold cut pig feet(trust me this one is good if you didn't know what it was). The usual things are also good too.
