I had a really tight budget ($10K) and they worked with my budget. Not only did they help us find the best vendors at the best price, they worked with our quirkiness.
My fiancee wanted a different wedding, we had more groomsmen than bridesmaids, so we had different music playing for our groomsmen (Slim - So Fly) which the groomsmen danced down the aisle too. Our bridesmaids walked down to India Arie's Beauitful surprise and they really did look absolutely beautiful, with tropical breeze blowing softly. And my dad and I walked down to Nobou Umatsu's Eye's On Me (Piano Version), for all you gamers that was part of Final Fantasy 8. And after the ceremony, my husband and I danced down to Hot Hot Heat's Talk to me Dance with Me. So we had an array of tastes of music.
The pastor they had for us Pastor Kimo was wonderful. He handed Jim and I both tissue and gave us little breaks to hug and breath, we were so happy! He was amazing and totally kind. After our ceremony, he did a Hawaiian prayer. And helped lead into our Coin Ceremony (Filipino Tradition -My side) and Tea Ceremony (Chinese/Vietnamese Tradition - Hubby's side). We had a lot of different things going for our wedding, but JoAnn and Stevie helped accomodate all those things.
Plus they helped us find some really great vendors. We tasted them before and we had no idea that they could get THOSE KINDS of vendors to help us. Roy's was the official caterer of our wedding. Our food was so yummy, presentation was stunning but most importantly THERE WAS PLENTY. Everyone was stuffed with tasty food!
Our cake was from Satura Bakery (Red Velvet). There's a Satura Bakery in the Bay Area, so we felt an affinity to that bakery. But we had plenty of yummy choices.
JoAnn and Stevie really helped with inspiration for center pieces. And when finacee and I went through a rough spot (one of us lost our jobs), they helped us cut corners so we saved THOUSANDS of dollars by changing little things, like favors, leis, music, etc. They are the wedding experts, so they knew how to make our wedding LOOK like we spent $30K, when we actually spent LESS THAN A THIRD OF THAT!
As you can see from the pictures, we have tons of flowers, we had an amazing Hawaiian band and dancers. Not only just hula dancers but a FIRE DANCER TOO! The limo service they hooked us up were great and prepared when we had some drunken guest. It was funny that the father of the groom got so drunk he did a spin on that stripper pole in the party bus, REAL CRAZY! WOO HOO!
Before the wedding, they emailed and text us on a regular basis, so we were always in contact with them up until the wedding. They were wonderful in accomodating us and when things and mishaps happen, they were there to make everything better. THEY MADE MY DREAM COME TRUE! Actually, it was better than my dream, absolutely better, because they made a girl like me (champange dreams on a tap water budget), realize that not only can I afford the wedding that I wanted, that I can have some extra's too. Entertainment, favors, extravagant luxury!
My guest told me that I should get married every year, so that we can have our wedding all over again.
