| About: | This Pearl Harbor memorial park is dedicated to World War II submarines and their valiant crews. The park takes its name from a particularly distinguished sub, the USS Bowfin SS-287. Tour the narrow corridors and compartments where the crew worked, ate, and slept on nine hazardous missions. In addition to the Bowfin exhibit, there is a waterfront memorial. Also visit the Battleship Arizona and Missouri memorials. |

educational: The First time, My family and I tried to go but my youngest was too small to go on. Children under the age of 4 are not allowed on the USS Bowfin. They lend out recordings about the boat and you enter a number posted and the recording tells you about the item. It is a good way of learning about our history. It is cramped but worth going to at least once.
