| About: | The half-hour drive from Downtown Portland/City Center is well worth the trip to this restaurant. The menu here changes more than seasonally, but crusty bread, garlicky olive oil for dipping, and delicious desserts remain constant. Classic Italian fare in a rich and warm environment makes for a lovely evening. About 100 wines are available, most of them affordable reds. If you are not in a hurry, take scenic Lake Oswego Highway 43 to get there. |

Bugatti's is one of those restaurants that I'd know about for years, but never tried until last weekend and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. As some others have noted, parking is tight and our server's first impressions left something to be desired (every table was empty when we arrived shortly after 5 and, upon asking for a different table, we were told every table was reserved). That said, once we got settled in, we had a delightful evening. The interior is classy, understated and tasteful. The menu wasn't that original, but all of the dishes we sampled were quite tasty. By 6 or 7, the restaurant was at capacity and seemed to attract a middle-aged to older crowd. While not as "hip" as a Pearl restaurant, it was among the most enjoyable meals I've had in the suburbs and would return.
Snooty restaurant. Parking is horrible. I went in Portland casual attire. I took my family when they were here for Christmas. Had only been on other time. I look young, but I am 33 and I walked in with my 21 year old cousin and her boyfriend. My mom, aunt and uncle were still parking the car. About 4 or 5 waiters walked passed us and refused to acknowledge us. My mom, aunt and uncle walked in and they were immediately greeted. I don't know if age discrimination exists to the young, but this was definately a case of it. When my mom was greeted, they proceeded to tell us that there was an hour wait. If they had just told us this when I walked in, I could have saved my mom the hassle of parking as we weren't going to wait that long. I won't go back again. It is a family neighboorhood and the snooty attitude of this restaurant doesn't belong here.

I agree with this review they have horrible waitstaff and worse parking! They also got my order wrong and when I complained they acted like i was in the wrong. Theor food is OK but overpriced i could get almost the same thing at Bugatti's in Oregon City. Where the GM is wonderful and very customer oriented.
