I have visited this place many a time during numerous trips to Cannon Beach and the Oregon Coast.
Previous times, I had always gotten a slice of pizza through the Take Out Window.
Pizza was decent or good and reasonably priced.
Service was decent and friendly.
Unfortunately, this time I chose to sit inside due to the wind and cold.
This time around the pizza tasted as if it was reheated numerous times and was only lukewarm.
Service, well, unless you look like a more sophisticated and like a well established person then you might as well forget to be treated with any decency (shown to me by how the waiter treated the only other customers sitting inside that fit this description). Câmon now, this is a beach town!!!!
If the waiterâs non-verbal attitude doesnât completely put you off⦠The sarcastic response of âVegetablesâ to the question of what was on the vegetarian pizza and the feeling of let me feel so privileged that you gave me a peppermint candy and letting me know that the reason Iâm receiving it was, by stating in a condescending manner, âHereâs a candy because you behaved so good while hereâ just tipped it to the point of questioning on if I will ever return to this place. Not to mention other little annoyances.
Best suggestion⦠Check out the other places in town and if you absolutely want pizza from this place, go to the Take Out Window to get a slice or take the full pie back to where you are staying, this will lessen your interaction with the wait staff.
Just because the establishment has been voted one of the Top Independent Pizzerias, shouldnât mean the service should lack and be offensive.
Small location with a side window for take-out and pizza-by-the-slice. The kids loved the pepperoni, though my daughter was overwhelmed by the cheese pizza (too much flavor for our most particular eater). The pizza of the day was an excellent vegetarian one with artichoke hearts, mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes and zucchini. They heated the slices to a perfect temperature. Excellent crust and attentive service.
What a great surprise!: It's just a little hole in the wall, but having wandered through town on a (very) quiet winter day left very few options for lunch. Turns out, this is pizza of almost a gourmet quality, wonderfully but not overly flavored, and reasonably priced. Lunch was so good (pizza by the slice) that we came back for dinner! Only knock is on the service, and it's simply because it's a little over-friendly. On this very slow day, all five tables (only 2-3 with customers) and the kitchen were being handled by one person, so frequently questions about "how are you doing? were shouted to you from the kitchen. But it was with a smile and joy, so it's only a slight blemish on what is otherwise a great place to eat. It is now a "every time in town" meal for us.
