Named after an old Methodist college (Portland University), this gathering place for the community is also very close to the University of Portland. At University Park, baseball and soccer fields grace the 16.5-acres of park space, as well as a path that runs throughout. Nearly half a century old, the community center provides a gymnasium, stage, kitchen and classrooms. The original center also housed the fire department, federal administrative offices and a restaurant. Call to reserve this location for a private function. There are no fees to use the park, unless the shelter or facility is reserved for an organized event; fees depend on the event.
