| About: | For almost a century and a quarter this watering hole has been making every day "Turkey Day" in downtown . Established in 1879, the bar is said to be Portland's oldest. The heavy, dark-wood tables are reminiscent of an Old World tavern. In 1997, the space was remodeled and now boasts a skylight that was added with the kitchena redesigned focal point of the restaurant. The menu has also expanded, but turkey is still the main attraction. Cooked up every way imaginable, Thanksgiving dinner is never out of season here. Full bar service is available. |

Really, really good turkey and ham dinner. I really wasn't sure what to expect, especially when I heard that turkey was their specialty. But seriously, it was delicious. My partner's filet mignon was incredible. Drinks were stiff, as they should be. Spanish Coffee is a MUST. Really. A requirement. Worth it for the act of pouring alone. I would highly recommend a visit.
Quaint and good. The service was above Portland average. The food is ok and the portions generous.
A-Mazing!!! I went for dinner late. Happy hour starts at 9:30pm. MUST have the Spanish Coffee. And the ham and turkey dinner is exactly what I needed after a rough week. Yummy!! You must experience this place.
