    Wonderful 16th Birthday: As a resident of California, I have been exposed to many high-end, sophisticated restaurants. My grandaughter wanted to go to an elegant restaurant on her 16th birthday and be treated like a princess. Her uncle, who lives near Cottage Grove, Oregon, suggested Alexander's. It was elegant without being "uppity" and my grandaughter was treated like royalty by the staff and by the customers at nearby tables. There were five of us and we had a table by the windows with a beautiful view. The appetizers, drinks, entrees, and desserts were out of this world. The service was outstanding; our waiter was fun and knowledgable. All in all it was a great place for a celebration! I can't wait for our next trip to Portland, so I can visit Alexander's again.

    Best dining experience: When visiting Portland, this is a must for fine dining experience. A romantic setting, excellent food and service, everything top notch.
