About:Conveniently located at the intersection of Holgate and Highway 99, this old standby of a Mexican restaurant has been serving Portland inexpensive and decent Mexican food for over 20 years. While the main restaurant has the "advantage" of being serenaded by mariachi on weekend nights, those without children usually flock to the expansive bar in back. Don't miss their trademark bowl of liquor the size of your head, also on special every Saturday night with a two bowl limit.

    The food is delicious, on fridays (and I think on saturdays as well) they have a very nice, energetic and entertaining guitar trio... their carne asada is the best I've had in PDX (I don't recommend their tamales though)...

    Try it, it's good.

    This is a great restaurant if you like this type of food. I don't take to it very well, and am never close to finishing a plate of food when my husband takes me here. He seems to love the place though, but its my least favorite.
