| About: | This theater is an historical relic of Portland, well placed in the Northwest heart of the city. The old-fashioned theater appeals to an arty crowd and features many unique movies. From foreign art films to controversial documentaries, diversity is emphasized here and the crowd is often as entertaining as the feature itself. After the show, take a stroll down Northwest 21st Avenue to one of the many local eateries. |

Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: I was looking forward to the rennovation, but was highly disappointed to attend the Christmas Carol, advertised as 3D and to find a hand-lettered sign at the ticket counter that said it was NOT in 3D. Not much of an improvement over the old if the technology doesn't improve with the films. I watched the movie, which I was looking forward to, but without the nationally advertised 3D, it fell short. I am glad they made the seating better, but I would take old seats and better technology any day.
Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: Nice theater, good worker bees ,its great that they redid the place BUT they put in the same lousy style of chairs and the hard place that is in the back of the seat ruins the comfort.
Should have gotten better seats? OR the manager needs to sit and watch a long movie and see how his butt feels!?
Anyhow its the only game in town and we live in Waldport so glad its here.
