An extremely enjoyable evening: We liked this place, liked it a lot. "We" consists of a 45'ish couple plus a middle schooler and a rising senior, both raised in suburbia. On the menu, we found something for everyone. My tastes tend toward the adventurous, and I had no problem satisfying them here with things like the Gargonzola Cheesecake and Sockeye Salmon. On the other hand, my wife goes for "basic" comfort food -- pot roast for her! My daughter, not being very hungary, settled for 3 side dishes of veges, all of which sure seemed to be freshly prepared. As for my son, the server steered us towards a bar menu when the regular menu didnt appeal to him. There he found thinks like grilled shrimp and burgers. In the end, he too settled for the pot roast -- and devoured it. The wine (a Malbec) was excellent and priced reasonably for a restaurant. For dessert, to our surprise, we found Molanari Sambuca on the menu, instead of the usual and lower quality Romana Sambuca. Our server was quite attentative, but not pushy at all. We never felt rushed and ended up hanging around for 2 hours. (True, it was a Tuesday evening at 6!) As for the atmosphere it was quite pleasant -- enough energy to keep the place interesting, but not so much as to make it feel like a bar. While I'm sure there were other tourists in the place, we felt like we were in a neighborhood cafe -- large, upscale and chic, yes -- but still a neighborhood cafe.
One of the best local, finer places to dine......: Paragon Restaurant is not too pricey for what you get. The food is awesome, the service is great! and the portions are worth the price. It's a little noisy during happy hour, but lunch and dinner are not bad.
It' s Just "Okay": Nothing special here, it's just "okay".
