Much better clubs to visit in Portland, Oregon. Dislike the club and mix of guests
One of my favorites: I agree with one reviewer that the music can sometimes get a little loud for idle conversation. Four people siting around a table might as well give up. You really need to sit next to each other and then lean in.
On the other hand, the food is excellent, the drinks are some of the best in town, the decor is spectacular, and the service is always at least good. Very recomended!!
Good food but bad vibe: I loved the decor, the fresh and innovative cocktails as well as the tasty food but Crush needs to decide whether it is a restuarant/bar or a nightclub. You can't be both at the same time! At least one of the rooms should have quieter music at a level which you can hear you and your fellow diners speak. I thought the music/DJ in the main room was good, but wanted to chat to my companions who I had not seen in a while. So we sat in the smaller/smoking room where there was also music. When I politely asked the bar attendant to turn the music down just a little (my friends and I had to shout across the table to each other) it was turned up! Really bad thrash metal, not in keeping with the place at all. Overall it was a frustrating experience. I would love to go back to Crush to eat and then dance but don't want to be disappointed again. If you just want to just dance or eat in silence you might enjoy Crush, otherwise steer clear.
