My significant other and I frequently went to Yuki's while living in NE. The service may not be the best, but the food was always fresh and excellent. Moderately priced as well. We certainly gorged ourselves on food for less than $30.
Like most reviews for Yuki, it was the poor service that will determine my final visit to Yuki. My boyfriend and I have gone there at least 6-8 times over the last few years, but last night was the last draw. I brought a friend who had never been there before, and was hoping to show her a good night, but it turned out to be another horrible service experience at Yuki.
When we arrived, we decided to sit inside so we might get better service, ya right!, but they sat us at the bar without even asking, and it was a wed, night at 5 pm so they weren't super busy or anything.
After we were seated in the deserted bar we then had to ask for everything, napkins, water, our bill, ect... they even downgraded their chopsticks since last time we had been there to probably the cheapest chopsticks available, they almost cut us with slivers and basically fell apart when you broke them in two. The crab was dry and definitely not fresh, it certainly came from a can! and when I pay $4.25 for two pieces of crab sushi, I expect it to be fresh crab!
Overall, I will not support this restaurant any more, they seemed to care less about out requests for water and the check, and some of the staff was even sitting at the bar, like 5 feet away, and we still had horrible service!!!!
Don't go here, There customer service will never improve if people still support this place. Force it to change by not giving them your business!!!
I have gone several time w/ expectations that the service will get better, but alas I can't continue to support a restaurant that sits you down and forgets about you. I thought at first that it was the location that I was set in, but No I had the same experience no matter where the sit you. So will I go back? Probably NOT
