Tidal Raves Seafood Grill

my girlfriend and i went to tidal raves last night for our one year anniversary we had reservations and where seated promptly but from there our experience went down hill the server we had was great to everyone around us but made us feel like we where second class customers it took 20 min to get waters and a second menu by the time i was given my menu i had already decided what to eat by sharing a menu with my date at $20 a plate that's ridiculous she took our order and said she would be back with our bread and salad another 25 min later we received our starters and another 45 to get our main courses (the food was great and all the talk about a good salad is correct they are amazing) not once during my 15 min of eating and hour and a half of waiting did i get asked if the food was alright or if i needed anything we both finished our drinks waiting for our meals and we where never offered a refill i understand i was well below the age demographic in the room and she made it obvious to us that she was busy working for a tip elsewhere well her loss if she is reading this would like to let you know that you are lucky that you got the $2 tip i gave you and if it makes you feel any better i leave bigger tips for that for my Batista at Starbucks so next time don't ruin my meal by neglecting PAYING CUSTOMERS and i promise young people know how to take care of a server so don't write us off as a stiff thanks for destroying a good evening its nice to hear your date tell you that the lack of service ruined the meal the quality of your service makes your cooks look bad because they are talented and your menu is well rounded it really is to bad that its represented by cruddy service and ageist front of house employees i would love to recommend this to my friends and family but im afraid that they will be seated in your section so if your management has half a brain they will find new respectful servers. so if your over the age of 25 go enjoy a great meal if your under 25 be prepared to be treated like crap and have a great tasting meal.

This is my Favorite place to eat along the coast. Why you ask? Because of the beauty of the ocean dancing at your feet, and if you are lucky, the whales feeding the view as you watch the sun setting in the background. Spectacular!!!! You may think I had too much wine and have made this up; this isn't so with only one glassful, although choices of wines make it hard decide. I've read many reviews of Tidal Raves and have never had any experiences that were negative, and I've been going there since 1991! Food and service have always been perfect and those are the opinions of my dinner mates and of the people dinning around me. I always ask those dinning around me or that have dined there before what they thought, in all the years not one comment has been negative.
I do have some suggestions for those that are in a hurry or have young children (especially lacking manners) to chose somewhere else to dine until you have time to savor the good ambiance of the view, food and service. Call ahead for reservations as everyone is given time to enjoy themselves and you wouldn't want to be rushed thru your dinner either now would you? Seafood is their specialty and my favorite is the PASTA RAVE (usually with white cream sauce) and plenty of it to share or take with you. If I have someone to share with we might have the steamed mussels before dinner or any of their fresh homemade desserts (like the pies or cobblers) that are out of this world!
Okay, so you get the idea I like Tidal Raves by now, with hopes you notice my opinion and might give them a try. I hope with those who haven't had a pleasant experience to try it again and I'm willing to bet, your mind will be changed to the better. I'm a true long standing fan of TIDAL RAVES and will continue to be, all the way from Washington State!

What a very special place. Food is above and beyond and the prices was ok to. All the staff was very friendly and the evening view was spectacular. I would suggest a reservation because if you can't get in you will miss out on something special.
