Village Market and Deli was the best little cafe we went to in Newport. We went there last year and looked forward to their Smoked Salmon Bisque when we went there again this year. You can order full sandwiches or half sandwiches along with your soup or just enjoy the bread that comes with the soup. The chef came out to visit with us while we ate and made the experience all the more enjoyable.
We also went an extra day to taste their Roasted Red Pepper and Potato soup which was just as wonderful. They have quite a selection of wines and sandwiches. This deli is definately a place to include when you go to Newport, Oregon.

Phenomenal food and view: In the middle of ultra-charming Nye Beach, Village Market does gourmet sandwiches like you wouldn't believe. Their Tuscan Turkey, Hot Ham Salami and their hot pastrami have these wonderful little kicks to them with wasabi and some other spices. Everything has these incredible layers of subtle tastes.....and these tasty delights are around $7.

then there's that scrumptious view of the ocean from here. absolutely memorable.

They also run the FABLOUS Blu Cork Wine Bar a couple blocks down, which has a super-yummy menu of food-stuffs that includes a duck pate that will kill you it's sooooo good. Their wine selection is huge....focusing on NW goodies. Beautiful interior too......it's like newport grew up and grabbed a chunk of Portland's Pearl District for itself.
