User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsHonestly my favorite bar in Eugene, not that we're at any shortage to choose from. I've only had one bad experience here, and that was years ago. Great food, decent prices and Ivan (security) is hillarious. And if you get kicked out, there are three or four more bars within sight of the front door!

Best place downtown to get late night food - Always someone willing to play a game of pool.

A horse is a horse................: unless you're at the Horsehead. Always a unique crowd, with people from all walks of life. Mostly younger adults with a alternative style. The Horsehead has a unique flair for rotating artwork of local artists, which are usually good conversation starters. Drinks are average with average prices, but the bartenders are very nice and equally attentive. They have pool tables in the back, and a covered heated deck out back. In front, they have picnic tables for sunny days. Their nachos are recommended. The dark lighting and red interior makes for a very moody atmosphere, perfect for secret rendevouz with personal private eye detective. Great places to hang for conversation, even without drinks.
