Mmm, tried this place recently and have been back twice since. If you ever go, you must try the slumgullion. It is a awesome clam chowder with bay shrimp mixed in it and cheese baked through it, strange but very good. They let you know right on the menu that they are not fastfood, they take their time preparing your meal, but worth the wait. The inside is mismatched chairs, tables and picnic tables, so if you are looking for a five star restaurant this is not it. It is more of a down home atmosphere, but I love it. It's next to Pirate's Plunder in South Beach.
Fishtail's Cafe is one of the best restraunts I have ever been too. The food is wonderful and original, with all homemade food including the bread and hamburger buns. It may seem pricy but you will get your money's worth. The experience is also wonderful; the waitresses actually care about their costumers not just the tip! I recommend the clam chowder to anyone because it is a homemade recipe and it is the best in town, and comes with homemade garlic bread! It's like eating at Grandma's house except it's closer to home, and is just as good or even better!
This place is average. The food is nothing special a little pricey. The atmosphere is nothing to brag about. It's on the slow side even on a slow day. Weekends are busy and it gets cramped inside. The biscuits and gravy is probably the smallest portion that I have seen around the Newport area but good.

hi oscar, I went through and read all of your Newport restaurant reviews--most written on the same day, I might add. Goodness gracious you are a hungry little fellow and your reviews, for the most part are pretty much copies of each other, and not really representative of any of the places you have attempted to critique--and as I am also a hungry little fellow I have eaten at all of them as well but I would never attempt to review all in a single day! That would take a big stomach or a good memory. I cannot vouch for the size of your tummy but memory you do not have as Coco Mocha Joes stopped serving Breakfast years ago.
