How do you say amazing in only 4000 characters when you would need at least double that, let us start with JB (the owner) a nicer more out-going proprietor I have yet to meet in my travels. Rebecca (sorry if I spelled it wrong) a perfect yin to his yang so to speak, mellow and even keeled yet a heart of gold. You can tell a lot about a place from how they treat the customer and they treated me with respect, love, and genuine appreciation. The staff, I did not meet them all but if they are being vetted by JB then you can bet they are dynamic, fun, and professional; they are all of this and more. The food....one word....Reuben Sandwich....Okay Two Words.....Amazing. For you sandwich connoisseurs out there traveling I5 or Highway 101, when you see this place in Lincoln City, Oregon beat feet to their door and order one. There desserts are homemade and their breakfast sandwiches are simply divine (now I did not have one of these but if they are anything like the Reuben) Oi Vey!!!! Okay you Chai lovers JB has a new drink for you called WAZZA Mate there are not words enough, however, I will try. It is sweet and spicy, with a slight flavor change as the drink cools. Even if you do not like Chai, this will be a palate teaser. The ambience is wonderful as you relax in the best of atmospheres, light jazz and folk, open to the ocean air, hardwood floors with an understated elegance to the decor that you will quickly note aids in your relaxation efforts. The coffee is a local roaster Cape Foulweather, this was my first taste and it is fabulous, each sip of my Americano was smooth with just enough bite to linger a moment. You know these folks have got it going on as they have BeBop biscotti (need I say more). I do a lot of coffee shop sitting being a online professor so you can imagine I have seen the best and the worst of what is offered, and these folks have just taken my number one spot.
I feel like I'm dropping in on friends when I'm at Pacific Grind Cafe. I love their locally roasted house blend coffee, but they can make any coffee drink you can describe. The fresh baked goodies each morning are fabulous. All of that is only the beginning, because this is THE PLACE for the best sandwiches on the planet. I've tried soup, salad, and a few of the panini or cold sandwiches and they are all GREAT.
A must stop if traveling through Lincoln City. Now these people know how to make a cup of coffee! The sandwiches and Panini are just about the best you've ever had...fresh and full of flavor. Make sure you order a side of "PA Mac Salad" it is 5-Star for sure.
