I must say this was a very disappointing experience. I have a 5 year old son who prefers salad over french fries and the waitress had an attitude about my request to substitute the french fries for the salad. The food was very bland and not presented very elegantly for a $15-$30 dinner price range. I was expecting much nicer service and food presentation for the price.

Luckily it was a gift certificate, but unfortunately we have more to spend there and I don't want to go back to eat there...we will try breakfast since another reviewer said breakfast was excellent.

I would think twice before choosing to eat here for a special occasion. You will do much better eating at Saffron Salmon...now that is a classy place to eat with AMAZING food and service.

I don't understand the 5 star reviews here. We have a relative in Newport, and she'd heard good things about it, so we decided to try it out. Looking at the menu and seeing the prices run from $20 - 30 per a meal, I was expecting something upscale. But the food was seriously disappointing. Everything was extremely bland and over-fried. My wife's hamburger was so obviously a frozen patty, it was comical. The shrimp I got seemed frozen as well, then coated with an inch of tasteless batter. I live for fried shrimp and have never left one on my plate, after 4, I didn't want any more. I've seriously had much better shrimp from Costco. The appetizers were okay, a little more flair than the meals, but still way too greasy.

The service was okay, the waitress acted a bit snooty, like we were in a 5 star restaurant, while the food begged to differ.

The view is fabulous, right over the ocean, and I'm guessing that's what everybody is raving about, because the food was a notch below your typical roadside diner. Get some take-out and picnic at the beach, you'll get the view, better food, and your wallet won't hurt so much.

The bar service is ok. The bar has to deal with the whole restaurant not just the people in the bar area so it can be slow. The drink I enjoyed was the Shark Bite a blended drink that tastes great. The price is good for the size but it's not a good drink to have with dinner. The drink is too filling. The restaurant during breakfast is very busy all weekend and not worth the wait. When it's busy like that the service is very slow. Breakfast menu item choices are good and prices are fair. Lunch and dinner have good choices also. This place is just like any other place to eat at nithing to special about the food. Lots of families go here so it's not very quiet and is hard to get an oceanview seat on weekends anytime of day.
