It is worth the wait. It is a great place for breakfast. I mostly get over there on the weekend when the line can be a little long but it has always been worth the wait. No matter what the Glenwood "Campus" Restaurant is a great place to have breakfast... great food, great service and I love to building too.
Restaurant - quite a find in Eugene, Oregon: Passing through Eugene Oregon, we were fortunate to find this quirky, reasonably priced, and delicious restaurant. While several area restaurants posted expensive menus at their doors or on the net (and considering the clientele eating outside at a restaurant on Pearl St, may be worth it) - this little restaurant by the University of Oregon is now our favorite. Apparently built into a house-like structure, it provides dining both inside and out. Our visit was mid July, so we ate alfresco. The waiter was friendly, came out and pulled a chair to sit on and take our order, meeting at eye level and taking the time to explain options. (No, there was no "my name is xx and I'll be serving you"), he was friendly, funny, and personable, there when we needed him and not when we didn't.
We purchased three dinners, barbecued salmon, a cobb salad with salmon, and another tossed salad (we were several days into traveling, and had a salad deficiency). The barbecue salmon came with salad , baked potato, a hot (fresh out of the oven) blueberry muffin, a bed of spinach. The cobb salad was more than could be finished in one sitting, and the tossed salad equally satisfied the teenager.
This all came to a check under $25!!!!!, so we were done with dinner, with tip for under $30. I've done much worse on this trip.
Directions and Parking, well, you can't get there from here, or at least it takes some time. We drove from 14th St. going East, so, with all the one-way streets in the area, we had to jockey around several blocks to get back to the restaurant, which is, of course, a little past 13th Ave. on Alder. Then, there is NO parking in that block, but you might get lucky in the next block by the SAE house. In any case it's worth the effort - or just get a bike and pedal on over.
YUMMIE in taste and price: Great BFST, LNCH, DNR and all inbetween. SUN BRUNCH is GREAT with friends. And one of the few places IN THE US to have a JELLY SQUEEZER on each table! Take that innovation to your bread and be surprized too!
