Good food. A bit expensive but the quality justifies the price. But what is wrong with their staff? The waitress didn't give us the slightest impression she was glad to see customers. I asked her to bring my mother's soup and not wait for my order as my mother had blood sugar problems. The waitress then went to the hostess area and did some work, then took water to the table next to us, all of this at an amazingly slow pace. She finally brought the soup. I had said the same thing to the wonderful people at Georgie's in Newport and the soup was literally on the table before we had sat down. If an elderly woman with dropping blood sugar can't get this waitress to care, what can?
Tonight we ate at The Bridgewater Restaurant and Zebra Lounge. The service was friendly and prompt. we were only seated for a few minutes before the owner took our drink order. The Barbecue oysters were great, so was the seafood chowder. The wine list was nice, wish they had more wines by the glass though. The owner was lovely and unique as was the decor. I would recommend going to eat here, it was a great experience.
We chose the Bridgewater Restaurant by walking along Bay Street and reading the menus outside all the restaurants. We had seafood dinners (shrimp, crab, salmon, seafood chowder)and couldn't have been happier with the food. Healthy choices on the menu, plenty of vegetables. Good seafood, good sourdough bread, good and friendly service.
