Great food, simply prepared: You can't go wrong at the Sea Basket. The food is always fresh and very well prepared, the chowder is to die for, the desserts will make you give up your diet for another day. The beer is good and cold. The staff is down-to-earth and friendly, and happy to do whatever they can to give you a good experience.
The Sea Basket is not a fancy place, but it is full of character and is always clean. Located by the docks of the Charleston marina, you will find a lot of fisherpeople and locals dine there, so if you're from out-of-town and want to go to a place to get a real "feel" for Charleston, go to the Sea Basket. Inside, they have pictures of historic Charleston and North Bend, as well as old logging photoes and pictures taken from fishing vessels. The tables are beautiful- I don't know where they came from, but they are obviously old and well taken care of. So if youre looking for good, honest, fresh seafood at a fair price, then head out to the Sea Basket and make yourslef happy. Who knows, you just might see me there!
