Whoever gave this place good reviews either works for the restaurant, or simply is not accustomed to quality, authentic Thai food. The food here is mediocre at best, they regularly raise the prices while at the same time cutting down on the quality and amount of food in their dishes. That is what is known as blatantly ripping off the consumer. The service here absolutely stinks! On this visit it was not crowded and we were the only customers. Our order was given to the waitress, who repeated it twice, wrote it down on her pad, but yet still could not get the order right and had to return to the table with menus and have us repeat the items we had just ordered, not once. . . but four separate times in the span of ten minutes! Yet still the order was incorrect and two of the dishes we had ordered were not even made even though it was all repeated verbatim to the waitress those four times she returned all confused over what was a very simple order that a seven year old could have gotten correct the first time! This confusion on her part delayed our order by at least 15 minutes longer than usual. When the appetizers came I was shocked to see that the portions were less than half of what they used to be a couple of months ago, yet the price had gone up. We were not given plates, silverware or napkins with the appetizers either.

Soon the entrees arrived, and were hurriedly placed on the table in a haphazardly manner as the waitress disappeared off into the kitchen area at the far back of the restaurant, not to be seen again for over 16 minutes!

We sat there dumbfounded, wishing to begin our meal which we had been looking forward to enjoying, but instead we waited and waited for her to return with our plates, silverware and napkins as the food got colder and colder. Do they expect us to eat sweet and sour fish, salad, beef curry, and the fried rice with our fingers, right out of the serving dishes? Perhaps using the tablecloth for a napkin? She finally returned after 16 minutes of what seemed like an eternity of waiting, and asks us "is everything ok?". Still completely clueless that we do not have our plates or silverware. Realizing I had to pick my Daughter up from school in less than 20 minutes, and not wanting to hurriedly eat cold food, I just politely told her that we decided to have the food to go as I had to pick my Daughter up. Instead of taking the untouched (other than the appetizers) food back to the kitchen and putting it into containers, she brings us several containers to do it ourselves. I then asked her for a big spoon, which she brought to us, all the while still oblivious to the fact we were not given any silverware or plates. She offered us no apology whatsoever, these people have the attitude that they are there in business a favor to the customer. Little do they realize that when their customers receive horrible service and cheapened down portions of food for even higher prices, those customers WILL NOT RETURN again. No tip was left, and I would guess she still hasn't figured out why.

This is not the first time the service has been bad or the order mixed up and wrong, but the was the worst! I have eaten Thai food several times a week for nearly half my life, I know what fine Thai cuisine IS... and you will NOT find it at this dismal establishment. They know they are the only game in town for Thai food (other than Thai Orchid on Main St., which they also own) so they think they can get away with bad service, incompetence, and outrageous prices for now lesser portions and poorer quality of food. Customers of this restaurant need to stop being so gullible and taken in by second-rate food and deplorable service. Scam Thai Cuisine cares NOTHING about good service or providing quality food at decent prices. You would have a much better dining experience at Thai Orchid Restaurant downtown on Main St. Same owners, slightly higher prices, yet far better food and service.

JUST A REMINDER.... Thai Orchid is NOT owned by the same owners at Siam (SCAM) Thai. The previous owners SOLD that business to a family friend and is NO LONGER a part of Siam (SCAM) Thai. I'll have to share this with the owner and her family. La will get a nice laugh from it.
