I've had the pleasure of experienceing Rock Springs Guest Ranch from several vantage points. I've attended weddings and other celebrations, business conferences and its American plan summer program for horse riding afficinados, couples and families.

The food, living and conference facilities, and just the general layout make for a great secluded setting for a serious business conference and attendees always come away in awe over the experience they've just encountered. At least our conferences have always been a success attributable in substantial part to the ranch's experience in dealing with them. But what I want to talk about is my last experience as a participant in the family program.

I brought my wife, three children, two spouses, and two pre-school grandchildren to Rock Springs for the dude ranch experience. We were greeted with the usual warmth accorded to all visitors by staff and directed to our cabins to unpack and get ready to come back to the lodge to participate in the first nights's dinner.

What a time! Riding twice a day, three square fabulous meals daily and lots of time to enjoy the other guests and their families. The staff went out of their way to see that all of our needs were taken care of and our youngsters had the time of their lives being exposed to the horses and even picking up the courage to sit on one (with the help of mom and dad of course).

I'm not much of a horse rider, preferring to take advantage of Central Oregon's world class flyfishing trout and steelhead streams and lakes or its lush green user friendly golf courses.

We get spoiled by the ambience of the main lodge and cabins, the attentiveness of staff, the gourmet food, the smell of fresh mountain air, the never ending plate of activities and the pleasure of interacting with family and friends, old and new.

Our family's visit to Rock Springs was truly a marvellous Western dude ranch experience that leaves me with only thoughts about how soon can I get back here.

Rock Springs Guest Ranch is a magical place. I went there as a child, and now have been able to bring my children as well. We have met wonderful people every year, and keep in touch with many. The horseback riding is the main focus, and there are excellent wranglers and horses for every age and ability. The cabins are very comfortable and homey, the food is great, and the Youth Program for the kids is incredible. It was hard to get time with my kids, as they were so busy having fun with the YC's (youth counselors) and all the new friends. There are hay rides, campouts, scavenger hunts, afternoons at the pool, talent shows, and more for the kids. For the adults, there are cocktails on the deck before dinner every night, gourmet meals, flyfishing and riding demonstrations, breakfast and luncheon rides, massages, yoga, tennis, swimming, on and on. A great experience.

    Perez Family,
It seems Rock Springs Ranch could be one of the only places left in the U.S. to offer a truly wholesome Family experience.

The children absolutely love it there! Our kids are city kids and they need this experience in their lives. Horses, swimming, nature, activities, and endless fun!
We as parents love the fact that they have a youth program that goes on all day long until evening so that we can vacation with our children but do things without them like riding, tennis, hot tubbing, golfing, rafting, time alone, and socializing with the other adult guests, Etc. We don't get to do this at home or at other family vacation spots (Disneyland, Beach, Etc.). As a mother, a vacation always means that I am on full time mommy duty with out the luxury of a homebase.
I love Rock Springs because they have a trustworthy and well trained youth staff that really shows kids how to enjoy being a kid.

We love Rock Springs and we recommend it to any one who wants to relax, eat gormet food, ride horses and enjoy watching their children have the "time of thier lives"!
    Perez Family
