I have been searching on the south end for a decent hot & sour soup and thanks to nightowl''s recommendation, in regards to, we were not disappointed.
Simply put........the food is great, the atmosphere friendly and cozy.
I work very near Seattle's Chinatown and have eaten @ many restaurants within. Grand Peking is better than or equal to most there.
Our family has eaten here for at least twenty years! The food is great and we've never had a bad meal here. Our favorite is the almond chicken. We had a ton of memories here. Steven has served us for the whole 20 years we have eaten there. He remembers all of our extended family names. He always asks "So, how's Paul doing lately?" It's amazing how he can remember people. We can't speak highly enough about this restaurant. Tried and true! We hope you like it as much as we have.
I hve been going to Grand Peking for many, many years now. They have, without a doubt, the best hot and sour soup in this area. The service is great (Steve is one of thebest watiers ever, and has a sense of humor as well). But, when you go for chinese food...well, it's about the food, isn't it? And thi shas never disappointed.
I have been all over Seattle's china town, and to Vancouver, BC, Victoria and San Francisco. I have yet to find food that actually competes with this. If you order off teh meal menu, you are likely to get a less authentic meal. Order ala carte, and experience the things that you won't get elsewhere. Good food, decent prices, and authentic. And if you don't see what you want, ASK them...thye are usually up for making what you like...like roasted salty prawns. Not on the menu, but they did them to perfection.
Hve fun and enjoy your meal...and be prepared for Steve to ask you back tomorrow...
