Great service at a great price. They accommodated my 2-day rush order with style and grace, produced for me exactly what I wanted, even did some touch-up on the artwork to make the image I requested even clearer and brighter than I expected.
Easy to reach by phone, Larry gave me his home and private numbers, his wife offered me coffee and a comfortable spot to wait in their living room when my pickup was delayed by thirty minutes.
The product has held up well after several washings so far, and the price can't be beat.
Several other local screen printers told me that my job was too small for them to do any extra work, and so they declined. Larry jumped right in and was more than helpful in every regard.
I wouldn't hesitate to go back to him if I should need these kinds of services again.
As with any artwork, be sure the two of you are very clear on the suitability and resolution of the image(s) you want to use, just what fonts you want, etc. before you finalize the job. Exchange images by email if necessary to ensure that you are both on the same page.
1. First of all, you need to be able to get through in a timely manner via phone. This isn't always feasible.
2. Second, when sending in order details by email, you need to have the email actually looked at in a timely manner. This didn't happen for me.
3. If you have a set vision in mind for your screen print design that isn't using pre-defined fonts, and the input format is not already in perfect input format (300 dpi in a format they accept) give up hope of getting what you want out of it, at least if you want it without an argument. The design I wanted printed was deliberately not a computer font for the main design, and they wanted to change it to use a computer font that was close in character, but that would have ruined the whole effect desired.
4. Forms of payment are limited to cash or check, which may or may not be an issue, but having other options of payment can be very handy for business purposes in terms of records, and just being able to do things electronically.
Net result: while the prices seem reasonable, it didn't seem likely I would get what I really wanted out of the order for the amount of insanity involved, so I canceled the order. There may be orders that are all preprocessed with perfect starting art work in their desired input format that will work out fine, but if there's any doubt about it being computer-friendly and of the right resolution to start that requires cleaning up, my experience is it possibly won't happen as you'd expect.
