I have had numerous pleasant experiences at this place. The food is decent, the beer selection is good, and they have a great outdoor area in back that is just perfect on sunny afternoons.

Today, however, I was disappointed in the service. We had a big party and we were all very polite; some of us have worked in the restaurant industry so we like to think we know how one would hope to be treated as a server. Last time this same group was in we received quite a bit of attitude because we failed to inform the server we needed separate checks - admittedly, that is aggravating, but at the same time, if one has chosen any sort of customer service as a profession, one should be expectant as well as tolerant of such irritants. Remembering this experience, we almost immediately enlightened our server as to the intention of our final payment methods, to which we received nothing short of a blatant scoff and glare.

All in all, our dining experience was still okay; we enjoyed the food, the beers and the company, and we will after all, most likely be back, next time hopefully with cash...

It is simply frustrating and quite disappointing to have this sort of experience as a grateful, polite, paying customer. The above comment nailed it - "If only the service was better".

If only the service was better: This place has a lot going for it. The menu is unique and the food is good. Especially like the Mac and Cheese and Fish and chips. The beer selection is above average and the ambiance is great.

The service is painfully slow and inept. We have been twice with the same result. Last time I think we waited 15 minutes to order a beer and another 15 to get our food order taken. Had to hunt the guy down to get our check.

Given that there is nothing in downtown Bothell and this place has 3 out of 4 characteristics of a good restaurant it s too bad they cannot solve the service issue.

a great neighborhood...: a great neighborhood pub with great pub food. recently staffing hasn't been what it used to be.
