User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI am a business ownerin Auburn and Kent, I have NEVER had such a lack of respect from a Manager or business in my life. I went into Poppa's pub to set up an event and bring in some business locally. The manager spent four days blowing smoke up my backside saying she didnt have time to call the owner to approve the event.When I called back on the last day I asked for a way to contact the owner myself and she refused, so I said I would take my business elsewhere. She was totally fine with that and didnt care one bit that she lost several thousands in revenue in alcohol and food for the owner. I would fire my manager if they had done that to me.
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsGreat sports bar in the Kent neighborhood. We like going there for pool, beer, & other drinks. The food is a little over priced for the sized portions that are served, although there is a few good burgers on the menu. The normal waitress that has been there for a few years(since I'v been going there) is always very personable.

I have been a faithful customer for 5 years. But now I will not return. Reason: Since Oct, 2007 Poppa's Pub has a new owner. I gave it a good try but sadly Poppa's has lost a customer. The food has gone downhill and the prices have gone up. The portions have become smaller. What used to be a great sports bar is now becoming a Karoake club. Hours of night time operations are inconsistant. I never know if Poppa's is going to be open or closed when I get off work (night shift). The saddest thing of all is the fact that a key employee has been let go. I for one looked forward to seeing that welcoming smile and could completely depend on excellent customer service.

This last time we went to eat there in the 3-6 happy hour, the $5 appitizer menu changed. Some of the better items were taken off. Also, the waitress we had was really flakey, was not attentive to our table, and forgot to return our debit card - when we paid cash.
