Wow, good local food in Kent. I love the ambiance and local flavor of this spot. What a nice place for Sunday Brunch.
OMG What good food! I have to say in my travels I always look for a good breakfast place when I come to a new town and I have to say even thou I have live in the area I never ventured into downtown Kent old historic district look for food and shopping. I was so wrong not to look in my own back yard for new experiences, I came in for breakfast and as I walked in the door I knew I would love it already! I caught the smells of all the home baked breads and pastries right away. I was sat at a booth next too there huge windows and ordered a coffee and it was really good, I opened the menu and found it to be simple and uncultured, just simple home-style food. When my food was brought to me I was very pleased to see that everything was made from very fresh ingredients and tasted wonderful, the food and the service was very good even thou they were packed with a full house. Now the prices are a bit high but itâs a tradeoff I am willing to pay to freshly made food with good service, I even bought some bread and pastries on my way out. I can happily recommend this place to anyone who likes food with flavor and some good service.
Wild Wheat Bakery in Kent, WA is the real deal. They bake all their own breads / pastries (sold at Whole Foods), roast their own coffee, use 'real maple syrup', they make their own pastrami, cure their own beef, and they actually smoke their own salmon out back. Talk about "real" food. The menu is fantastic - lox, bagels, sandwiches, soups, reuben's, vegetarian options, corned beef (salted and seasoned and cured on premise) and their brunch has been rated tops in Seattle for years.
