I am an "Executive" member of Costco and I an very disappointed at the service (or lack there of) I have received from both Costco's San Antonio (UTSA Blvd) store and your 1-800 customer "service" representative.

The Costco Tire department failed to fix a flat on my wife's car when she took it in today because she did not purchase the tire from them and sent her on her way with a severely leaking tire. This is a dangerous and non-customer friendly practice. Since I was at work and I sent my wife to Costco so they could help her. My wife who just finished her last radiation treatment this week has severe burns which limit her mobility and is unable to change a tire, is now driving to Sam's Warehouse (on a leaking tire) to re-new our membership because Costco refused to service her. In this day and age, this is not a very smart way to lose a customer.

I tried calling Costco's 1-800 Customer "Service" line, but was met with a sarcastic "Service" Representative who provided no help and told me "if you wanted to go to Sam's then go to Sam's." Is this how Costco treats an "Executive" member?

I was a member of Sam's for many years and was never once treated with such disrespect.

Great place for bulk buys: Overall: Great selection of items in bulk, however lines/queues can get exceptionally long and tiresome.

We visit Costco for items such as kitchen rolls, bath tissue, hand wash, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toothpaste, mouthwash, facial tissues, some drugs - such as ibuprofen, antishistamines. The only food we buy here is Jarlsberg, President Brie and Old Amsterdam cheeses and some branded cereals. Other than that I cannot comment on the food here (We do not buy from here because items such as salmon has colour additives, and personally the bakery items do not look appetising to us.)

The value of the items is very reasonable, especially the branded items. They have a huge selection of everything - electrical items, garden equipment, shrubs, clothes, books, CDs, DVDs, bakery, fish, bulk pet food, snacks, frozen foods, refrigerated foods, cereals ... the list goes on.
