Our daughter told us about Tropea. We had been complaining about there NOT being a good Italian restaurant in Redmond. She said that we had to go to Tropea. We went. WOW! From the owner greeting us at the door, to the close, personal attention of the waiters. to the owner coming by frequently to make certain everything was OK, to the gift dessert (when we were already stuffed to the gills)--it was a wonderful experience. And we will be back! Soon!
We have been to Tropea numerous times and continue to be pleased. This time we met friends for dinner early. Thank goodness because many others have discovered this gem. Two of us had Seabass with lobster sauce; the guys had veal in a light milk sauce and a rack of lamb special. All of us were pleased. The Seabass was so moist and tender! Wonderful service, good wine and yummy deserts.
I was searching for a very good Italian restaurant for a long time and never knew that the best Italian in Redmond was just walking distance from where I stay. The strip mall kind of look is deceiving. Once you enter into the restaurant the atmosphere is so different from outside.
Welcoming owner, Italian music, soccer game on the TV and wines bottles arranged all over gives you an authentic Italian look. we ordered Calamari Impalante - a herb covered Calamari for our appetizer. Pizza la Bosco and Rigatoni zii Teresa as the entree's. Everything tasted so good and the quantity was enormous.
We finished the dinner with the home style Tiramisu, so different from other restaurants.
will definitely recommend to others.
