My favorite place to be a "regular" in North Bend.: The North Bend Bar & Grill is a great place to be a regular. It is unpretentious and down to earth while maintaining a rustic charm. The food is definitely a cut above the normal bar fare being robust, varied, and filling. The bar is small but well stocked. There is a limited selection of beers on tap, but with a regularly rotating set of "guest beers", there is always something interesting to try. The staff is courteous and eager to please, even if they are occasionally stretched a little thin when things get busy. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Most of the time this is a great spot for a quiet drink with friends, a quick bite, or a hearty meal. (I particularly recommend the chicken fried steak.) Don't hesitate to bring the kids as the NBBG has an excellent small-town, family oriented atmosphere. Later in the evening, things get a bit more boisterous; however, to be honest, I'm really not much of one for the night life and so am rarely there at that time.
