| About: | Rikki Rikki, located in downtown Kirkland, has been the eastside's chief sushi location since 1991. The interior design along with the cooking have won numerous awards. Upon entering Rikki Rikki one will feel like a part of our extended family with gracious service and excellent cooking. The sushi chefs are reknowned for their creations. The menu does include traditional Japanese dishes (Tempura, Teriyaki, Sukiyaki, etc.), but the atmosphere is not that of your typical mundane Japanese restaurant with a Koto playing in the background. My huband and I ordered take out from here for our anniverary tonight. We're both sick. Food poisoning. Will not go here again!
COCKROACH.... I want that to be the first thing you see!
I LOVE sushi!! With that being said I would have recommended this restaurant to anyone looking for good sushi on the Eastside...... until last night. Rikki Rikki has been a fairly regular haunt of mine for the past 3-4 years. Their rolls and sashimi are better than most sushi restaurants and I enjoyed the $4.95 happy hour rolls several times a week at my peak. This all came crashing down after going toe to toe in a battle for my ginger with a c0ckroach. There are a lot of things I can deal with. I've picked hair (head hair, not short and curlys) out of my food, actually had a fly in my soup but a C0KROACH on my sushi!? Come on Rikki Rikki! The General Manager was full of excuses and very smug as well. "All I can do is apologize!" Wrong answer Keigo Sorajo.... wrong answer. Think twice before going there! In the Seattle area there are far too many choices to settle for a restaurant with roaches! Go to Sushi Yama in Bellevue!
This is a great restaurant and everyone is very friendly. The food is great and even a better deal before 5 if I remember right. Kids are welcome as we have brought our 3 kids and even a stroller and everyone finds something good on the menu. Highly recommended.
