I had my son's birthday party there on oct 5th, 5 pm. when i arrived , i went upstairs to claim a table. there was one group of 4 or 5 tables together that was clean, the rest of the 25 or so tables were full of dirty dishes .there was only 5 other people upstairs besides my initial group of 4.it was very warm up stairs,i waited for 10 minutes behind 1 customer(with special needs) to ask for the air conditioning to be turned on.by that time they had sent someone up stairs to bus the tables, but the cashier had told me that they did not have the authority (or key ) to turn on the a/c ,and there was no one there who could .I asked how much was it to reserve the room downstairs, because it was cleaner and cooler.the cashier told me that it was $25 for the room.I dismissed the idea so i went back up stairs to wait for the other people to arrive for the party .about 5:30 i ordered two pizzas and 6 child size cups, when the pizza was done i brought the pizza's upstairs for the party but there were no clean dishes to eat off of.almost 10 minutes later i had to go back downstairs and get the dishes so that my sons birthday party could eat the pizza that I had purchased.the pizza tasted good!as more people arrived at the party ,i had to order more drinks and pizza.when it was time to eat cake and ice cream, i went to get more plates, but there were no more clean plates!almost 10 min later i was able to go back downstairs and grab a stack of clean plates for cake.I spent about $100 on 12 kids cups,3 pizzas ,and 2 cups of beer.this is the topper-at the end of the night ,the cashier told me that if I had called in to reserve the room, the pizza was 1/2 off.and that if I had called on my way,the $25 deposit would have been refunded. If the cashier would have told me that by paying for the room downstairs(when I ordered pizza in store)I could get the pizza's 1/2 off,I would have. I would have saved more than the $25 charge and had a room that was clean and cool!
Good stuff, dont know what everyone is complaining about~
We went to the restaurant for an end of season baseball party. I purchased a marinara speghetti and pizzas. It took them awhile to get me the speghetti and when I finally received it, it had cheese on it. I told them I am a vegan and needed to have it redone. The person behind the counter, cook and another employee were arguing with me telling me I should have said that I don't eat cheese. They then told me that they would put me to the bottom of the order list and make me wait 40 minutes. I was annoyed that they were trying to punish me and was ready to leave, but because it was my son's baseball team, I stayed. They never provided it to us, but about 20 minutes into waiting they told us we had to leave in 20 minutes. As I left to tell them I didn't get my speghetti, they told me that they had it for me and I must have never heard them call it over the loud speaker. I understand that they were busy and everything, but they sent me home with a speghetti that was cold and overcooked.
The next day I called the manager and she proceeded to tell me how they had a lot of work and a party that showed up late. She said she would pass my concerns on to the team, but never offered to refund my speghetti or apologize for the experience. I will never go there again and next year when the team wants to go to Alfys I will suggest going somewhere else.
