| About: | When the cravings strike, Gordito's is ready to serve up all your favorite Mexican dishes. With extra-large food portions, a colorful atmosphere, and salsa and guacamole aplenty, this eatery is a popular local favorite. Hungry Seattle residents pack the tables to get the special "wet burrito", made to order with salsa on top. The restaurant also has a wide selection of wine and beers on tap to wash down each tasty bite (and with the low prices on food, it's worth it to experiment with drinks). Gordito's also prides itself on the nutritional merits of its menu, using only fresh ingredients, meat that is grilled rather than fried, and rice and beans without added animal oils-- making it a picky eater's dream come true. |

First of all i was very hesitant to try this place because of the negative reviews. But i went anyways because it was close to the house. To me it was and okay place to go eat Mexican food. The price was reasonable and the portions were good. I got two fish taco's for under $20 and that was including tip. But it wasn't the best Mexican food i have ever had. I am from TX and they have had way better Mexican restaurants than WA. I say you need to try for yourself. I would go there again.
We went here lastnight, for the first time, after reading all of these reviews. It was gross. We each ordered different meats, and all of it was mysterious. I asked her if the chicken would be breast or thigh meat and she answered, "grilled breast", but it was thigh meat, complete with all of the tendons, veins and fat. The pork was laden with fat and chewy tendons, according to my 14 year old daughter; she is not a picky eater, yet had to meticulously pick around for an edible chunk of pork. We ordered 3 burritos and three very small sodas, and it came to $39. We know they overcharged based on the menu prices, but we didn't argue. We will just never go there again. I would much prefer the chain's of Baja Fresh and Chipotle, as we spend much less, are able to eat the entire meal without picking through, harvesting fat and tendons, and the taste is uncomparably better, the kitchen and atmosphere much cleaner, and way higher quality ingredients, for less money.

There are plenty of good TexMex places in WA, since we have a large Mexican population. But you are right that this place is gross. yuck.
