Service department: I took my CRV there for a routine 75K service. To be fair, Customer service was very friendly and prompt. They did negotiate on some things and took $60 off my final bill.
However, they were VERY pushy about selling services that the car didn't need or doesn't need for another 10 to 15000 miles, and when I questioned, they failed to give me solid reasons for their urgent "reccommendations". Plus they are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. When I said I want to first shop around for other prices, they of course basically said "oh no, don't trust anyone else..."
What Honda of Seattle was pushing to do totaled over $1600!! Instead, I took my car to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion (specializing in Hondas but not a dealership). One issue turned out to be simply a loose bolt (which was cleaned and fixed for free!!). Honda of Seattle obviously didn't bother to investigate closer, to clean it up or anything, instead pushing me to spend $650 to fix this "problem." The other issue they thoroughly inspected, and said looks FINE, just check on it again closer the reccommended mileage according to the car manual. Honda of Seattle urged that this needs to be done now for $950. The 2nd opinion mechanic...same service would be $750, but it can wait a while.
I will NOT take my car back to Honda of Seattle. I do NOT think they are honest.
Excellent Service. Prompt in greeting my service needs (no standing around). This is the standard for me from now on. Did what they said they would. Telling all my friends
$582.00 for a timing belt replacement on a 97 Civic is very pricy... I priced the same job while in So. CA for $197.00 and I sure wish I had it done while there...
