We've been here several times and won't be back for a while. It's very nice sitting by the window overlooking the golf course, but the food is sub par, small portions, and rarely gets to the table hot. Wait staff is generally nice. It's a nice place, hope they can turn this around.
I have been dining at River Rock Grill for over 5 years. Lately the food has been tasting better, there are new daily specials and the flavor is different. I asked our waitress Sierra about it and she said that they have a new Chef from France. I had pasta and seafood dish that was out of this world. Yum. You know when you eat food that tastes so good you have to go tell others, that is what I am doing right now. Oh yeah..
The chocolate mouse, where did that come from, Never in my life have I had anything that was that good. I ordered a second...which this is a first in my life to go back for second right after finishing the first. I probably have a chocolate high right now and hope that others can enjoy the same.
Things are on the up and up for River Rock Grill, something positive is going on there.
River Rock Ale House: One of my absolute favs !!!! What is not to like about the River Rock Ale House.
There's a restaurant, which is nice, but the object of this review is the bar (Ale House). It's the BEST!!
About 10 taps -- about 1/2 domestic and 1/2 microbrew. Mixed drinks of any possible variety.
Bartenders and waitresses are friendly and helpful.
Ambience is super -- some TVs for sports and a big window overlooking the 1st tee of the Maplewood Golf Course. On nice days, there is delightful outdoor seating right there on the golf course -- it ain't Augusta, but it's nice.
Happy hour food and drink specials are excellent and very cost-effective.
It seems like there's always a special occasion at the River Rock Ale House -- NFL football games, good bands on Saturday evenings during the summer, and always have holiday extravaganzas.
My wife and I always enjoy ourselves at the River Rock !!!
