We feel very fortunate to live so close to this outstanding sushi restaurant. We have eaten there often and have never come away disappointed. This is doubly impressive, as they set the bar so high, and always seem to find a way to exceed expectations.
Definitely recommended!
Absolutely go if you have a chance and enjoy the a wonderful dinner at this quaint area of Seattle! Excellent appetizers! I had the fried calamari with avocado dip, fried tofu with some strange but dark and tasty sauce. Combination sashimi were excellent. Yellowfin was fresh and sweet. Gindara kazusuki (?sp) was lightly seared, moist, and delicious. Overall and excellent experience. We will definitely go back. Be ready to go around the whole neighborhood to look for parking!!! P.S. Go early and call in to reserve a place.. It is still packed even with the downturn in the economy!!
This review is long overdue as I ate at Kisaku in March!
This is one of the finest sushi restaurants I have ever been to. The fish is so fresh I could have sworn there were fishermen bringing the day's catch in as we ordered. We ordered mostly sashimi and some nigiri. Each piece was finely sliced to perfection, looked like art, and melted in our mouths. We took our time and savored the textures and flavors of each bite and felt ourselves getting deliriously happy from the exquisiteness of the meal. Everything we ordered was divine. The place was packed (Saturday night), and yet the service was so quick, attentive, warm and personal that we soon felt as if we had the restaurant to ourselves.
If you are in the Seattle area, do not hesitate. Experience Kisaku now!
