We were from out of town, so we did a web search and found this restaurant. Looked to be a good place, "Waterfront views, reasonably priced." Well, we should have trusted our first impression when we walked in at about 5:30 on a Friday and found the place near empty. The "waterfront view" was a view of boat slips. 90% of the lake view was blocked. No atmosphere. Prices were higher than expected. Dinner for two, no drinks, no desserts came to about $70, including tip. Food was nothing special. It was oddly flavored...as if the cook was trying out some new ideas. I would not recommend this place. We came away wishing we had opted for fast food instead. .
Dropped in just before closing on Super Bowl Sunday, after arriving on 6-hour plane flight. Place was pretty much deserted five minutes before close. Yet, Sofie (sp?) treated me like a king and served up hot soup and a smooth glass of wine. Will need to come back again to experience a more relaxed and complete entree. But a great first impression!
GREAT ANGUS: I LOVE THIS PLACE.. IN ALL WAYS ,, YOUR NEVER DISAPOINTED!!! THE STEAKS AND TRIMINGS, BAR NONE ARE THE BEST IN THE FAR NORTH WEST.... AND POSSIBLY IN THE STATES!!!!!!
