Shockingly bad: Seattle is a great restaurant town. I have eaten at Buca di Beppo, and it was the worst dining experience I've had, in Seattle or out. It was over-crowded, noisy, and hot. The waiter was unbelieveably rude and even questioned the 15% tip we left him (we amended it to 0%). The food wasn't "authentic" Italian, as other reviewers have written: it was over cooked bland pasta with canned sauce and about 2 lbs of once-melted, now-congealed cheese on top. The house wine was liquid sand paper, as well.
If you want "authentic" Italian food in Seattle, try Salumi, Tulio or La Rustica. Even terrible chains like the Spaghetti Factory or Olive Garden are better than this slop.
Cheap and big portions don't mean much when they taste terrible. Go for quality over quantity.
Bring friends the portions are huge!: This place is great... definately a great place to with another couple because the portions are HUGE!!! They have authentic italian food with an AMAZINg atmosphere... every inch of every wall is COVERED with cool and odd pictures/artifacts... its a great place to go eat! Although i would not recommend their pizza... i was not a fan, but their pasta is GREAT and definately try the garlic bread!! If you like garlic you will love the bread!
Assembly line Italian Food: Not the worst Italian food in the Seattle Area. Big portions for a fair price. A good place for large crowds to go and share the food since everything is served family style.
The eggplant parmesan is especially good.
