I bought an over-priced truck there in Feb.'08, low miles and clean, but way overpriced. Bill Pierre started calling me Feb.'09 asking me if I still had it and telling me to come in and they would give me top dollar for a trade in. After about three phone calls from them, I decided I would take them up on it. I looked up the truck I wanted online and went in. Big suprise, the truck wasn't there, but the bigger more expensive one was. Sales manager #1 came over with some fake numbers they print up in the back. He tried talking about the price, a little, then monthly payments, then showed me what they were willing to give me on my truck; Blue Book. This is what they offer return customers, nothing special. The same as any other dealership would offer. So much for the three phone calls promising "top dollar". I said "no thanks" and left. I looked up the truck they were trying to sell me at home. They had it online for $3000 less then sales manager #1 came to the table with as his "best price".
I recieved a phone call two days later asking if I was still interested in getting a truck. This time they had a used one close to what I went there for originally. I went there to look at it. It wasn't what I wanted, but they did have another that I was interested in.
We started negotiating, now with sales manager #2. Still no budge on the trade in price. I knew what they paid for the truck they wanted to sell me. My friend has the exact same truck and came in a month earlier. $12,000 was what they offered him. They wanted to sell it to me for $23,000 and tell me they were taking a "$3000 loss". I filled out paperwork and started negotiating. They came back with paperwork together, no budge on their truck, no better offer on my trade in. I was a return customer. They called me offering "top dollar". That was the best they could do and all the paperwork was together if I wanted the truck, all I had to do was give them $1500. I left again, and recieved a phone call the next day from sales manager #3. I told him my story. He said he could do better, "just come on in". No one will talk prices over the phone, at all, three sales managers so far.
Sales manager #2 calls me on the last day of Feb., they need to make sales, they'll take any offer. They'll get me the price I wanted. The deal is already put together.
I clean out my truck and hit the road. Sales manager #2 calls again. "What do you think about this other truck?" "What do you think about this other, other truck?" He knows I am on the road heading there. I am three minutes away when he calls again. I ask about the firt truck we had the deal "already put together for". He tells me, it's not going to work, they want $4000 down, can I come in the next day or day after?
I turned around and went home, in their parking lot. They are a joke.
I had the best buying experience at Bill Pierre Ford. Alex Lewis was very helpful and polite I can't believe the deal they got me on my new Edge I would recomend Bill Pierre Ford to anyone.
One of the rare times I wasn't smiling was after leaving this dealership. I called one of those adds with low prices and lots of rebates. Of course like most of those adds they are come ons and you don't qualify for most of the rebates. A week later I get a call telling me that they have 4 cars same model as I was interested in 1 year old for a price that he stated. After driving 2 hours to lot and finding no one else but their staff on the lot. The dealer ship tells me that they have nothing that is even close to what I was told. They said no one would ever say such a thing. As I was listing to the assistant sales manager try to move me into another car. I over heard the sales manager yelling at car salesman "Remember we hate the customers there here trying to take money out our poket. Get out there and sale the car now!" Of course that was enough for me. I got up and left. Be smart go somewhere else It will save you time and energy.
